Pretoria - An 89 year old man and veteran World War II pilot was murdered in his Monument Park house in Pretoria on the 12th of November, 2009.
The body of Mr. Frans Swemmer was found by a friend of his who had a spare set of keys. Mr. Swemmer's neighbour noticed the deceased's garage door open with the lights on. Mr. Swemmer's motorcar, a Mercedes Benz, was not in the garage.
The neighbour called the security guards to do a perimeter check and later reported to the resident neighbour that all was in order.
The following day Mr. Swemmer's neighbour noticed the garage door was still open and with the spare set of keys entered Mr. Swemmer's home to verify the situation, she found Mr. Swemmers body lying on the carpet of the dining room floor.
The terrorists responsible for the attack remain at large.
